Foot grate and basin 9065

Safe and accessible entrance for people with reduced mobility

Included as part of our product solutions for accessible housing, the stainless steel foot grate and basin 9065 forms a safe and accessible entrance for people with reduced mobility and for their use of technical aids. The product is designed to improve the functionality and cleanability of varied kinds of public spaces and the entrance area – the entrance door and the wind box – of the common areas of sheltered housing facilities, among other things. The product is suitable for all accessible construction in accordance with the Design for All concepts, including government offices, business premises and normal residential dwelling construction.

The product solutions are used for preventing the water that gathers on access routes from freezing and for preventing snow from piling up in front of the door in winter.
The foot grate and basin 9065 is fitted with a sewage connection and dimensioned with 100 mm increments to suit the space it is intended for.

The product is provided with a sand separator trap and dense stainless steel anti-skid foot grate.

The basin is also suitable for the installation of de-icing cabling.
A separate provision must be made for the de-icing cabling in the electrical design and installation and in the delivery of the equipment and fixtures for the location.

When the correct dimensioning for wheelchair access, for example, is designed, 1500×1200 mm is recommended as the size of the basin, because the minimum width of an accessible entrance door dimensioned for wheelchair access is 1100 mm. The minimum recommended dimensions are 1000×600 mm.
