Our floor drain traps are Finnish stainless steel traps manufactured by deep drawing that are suitable for removing sewageable water.

Depending on the floor material, the traps are equipped with fittings that are suitable for plastic flooring, ceramic tiles or composition flooring.

Our floor drain traps have been type-tested and approved in compliance with SFS-EN 1253 by VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland.

Models 9050, 9051, 9090 and 9091 are now also available with a low strainer basket, which makes them highly suitable for institutional kitchen settings.

HORIZONTAL

The special design of the drainpipe allows the placement of the sewer outlet as high as possible while keeping the height of the structure as low as 130 mm. The floor drain trap is equipped with a built-in water seal fitted with a rubber plug to facilitate cleaning. The trap comes factory-equipped with the necessary fitting to ensure that the trap is leak tight between the flooring material and the trap too.

VERTICAL

Vertical trap 9090

The structure of the vertical drain trap allows for the use of a fully-functional, detachable stench trap to facilitate cleaning. The trap comes factory-equipped with the necessary fitting to ensure that the trap is leak tight between the flooring material and the trap too.

Strainer baskets

Strainer baskets for horizontal and vertical floor drain traps.

The material strength of the mesh cover is 3.0 mm, but it is also available in more durable grades strong enough for a pallet jack (5.0 mm) and a forklift (8.0 mm). The cover can also be manufactured as the screw-in type.

A DN32 or DN50 mm side connection can be welded into the trap. When a DN50 side connection is opted for, the trap is equipped with a built-in ring flange.

The standard delivery comprises a trap complete with water insulation consistent with the flooring material and a mesh cover.
When placing an order for a trap, the customer should check the flooring material used in the intended location so that the trap can be factory-fitted with the correct type of water insulation.
Remember to also ask about the size of the potential additional connection and its orientation in respect of the discharge pipe.

The most important maintenance measure for the traps is to keep them clean.
The stench trap plate is fitted with a detachable rubber plug for removing blockages in the drain.
When you are done, mount the rubber plug and the mesh cover into place.
This applies to all floor drain traps, dirt and sand separators, threshold traps and floor basins manufactured by Kavika. In addition to cleaning, the user must see to it that the traps are always provided with a sufficient amount of water. This is to ensure that the water seals operate flawlessly. Water also prevents dirt from sticking to the traps.
